At your home

For home based training, we would make an initial visit to better understand your garden, your needs and your level of knowledge. This may include taking photos, soil samples and measurements to identify the growing conditions available. A proposal would then be put together for you to see what type of consultancy service would best suit your circumstances. As an experienced and RHS trained professional Clare prides herself in offering a very bespoke service to her clients.

To secure your consultancy programme we would need a 50% deposit and 50% on completion of the programme.

Gardening Clubs & Horticultural Societies

For gardening clubs and horticultural societies, topics for talks and demos focus mainly on propagation techniques (Spring/Summer) propagation techniques (Autumn/Winter) but do please get in contact if you’re looking for something else.

“Very good and informative – very helpful. Clare was very knowledgable”

“Clare came to our local Horticultural Group to talk to us about Propagation. It was so nice to hear from a younger gardener how we could do things…old methods do work, but new information, based on the science of the topic, was excellent. Clare tested our Botanical knowledge,  showing us how plant systems worked in differing species. We all learnt a lot…..and have tried ideas at home…and have booked Clare again for next year.”

Sue, Paulerspury Horticultural Society

“At Heyford Garden Club, we were pleased to invite Clare to come and give us some advice on those gardeners’ most constant of companions – weeds! Rather than listing off a resolution to each and every invader, Clare got us to think about weeds from a different perspective – how we could see them as useful in ways we hadn’t really considered. Clare’s other skills in presentation and engagement really came to the fore as she refused to let us be a passive audience, and drew on the experiences and knowledge of everyone in a light hearted and captivating way. We all went away with something new to try and a different way of looking at what can become a real head and back ache! Thanks for a very informative and interesting evening Clare, we hope to invite you back to hear another one of your talks.”
